About this place
Choose tsukemen, where the noodles and dipping broth come together in each bite, or a bowl of ramen to enjoy with its soup. Tsukemen is the focus at Ganja (Narimasu), but the menu also includes back-fat soy-sauce and miso ramen.
Diners who have tried the tsukemen mention the pairing of smooth, easy-to-swallow noodles with a light dipping broth, as well as a rich broth with plenty of seafood flavour. Impressions vary by order, so start with the classic tsukemen (950 yen), back-fat soy-sauce tsukemen (950 yen) or spicy tsukemen (1,000 yen), depending on your preference. One diner who chose the back-fat soy-sauce version remembered its broth, where the savoury depth of soy sauce meets the sweetness of back fat, and its firm, smooth, thick noodles. Another way to enjoy it is to add some of the vinegar provided at the table. If you want to make tsukemen the centre of your meal, the special tsukemen (1,300 yen) is another option; the menu identifies it as its “1th most popular” item.
For something other than tsukemen, look out for the Narimasu-only rich seafood-and-pork-bone miso ramen topped with seared meat (1,000 yen). Diners who ordered it enjoyed the tender seared meat and a rich, hearty broth that was not overly heavy. It is a good choice if you are in the mood for miso ramen with meat at its centre. Back-fat soy-sauce ramen costs 900 yen, while the special version costs 1,250 yen. A diner who tried the latter reported that its slender straight noodles were slightly firm and pleasantly chewy, and that the thick-cut seared chashu was meltingly tender. You can choose a bowl with toppings such as chashu and seasoned egg, or add a seasoned egg (150 yen) or rice (200 yen) to a basic bowl, depending on how much you want to eat.
The restaurant is close to Narimasu Station and is suited to solo dining. It is open for lunch and dinner every day, from 11:00 to 22:30. Choose between tsukemen and ramen according to your mood.
